Clemson lands commitment from transfer guard Brevin Galloway
CLEMSON — Brevin Galloway is finally coming home.
The Anderson native, who grew up just a few miles from Clemson’s campus, committed to the Tigers on Tuesday.
Galloway is transferring to Clemson from Boston College after starting his career at College of Charleston.
His brother — Braden Galloway — played tight end at Clemson from 2018-21.
“Clemson is home. It’s where my heart is. I got blessed with a rare opportunity, and I want to make sure I’m happy,” Brevin Galloway told Clemson Sports.
That rare opportunity is a chance to play six seasons of college basketball.
Galloway played four seasons at Charleston, averaging 15 points per game during his final year with the Cougars. He tore his ACL only four games into that season, though, and was forced to miss the rest of the year.
Galloway then transferred to Boston College for this past season and averaged 8.3 points per game. He thought his college career was over when the Eagles lost by two points to Miami in the ACC Championship game, but he recently found out he has another year of eligibility remaining.
The super senior narrowed his list to a final two of Clemson and South Carolina, before committing to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Galloway didn’t feel like he was fully healthy last year but believes he will be for the 2022-23 season.
Clemson has added two players to its roster this month as in addition to Galloway, Atlanta native Dillon Hunter committed to the Tigers last week.
Hunter was previously committed to Baylor before opting to decommit and sign with the Tigers.
He will team up with his brother — Chase Hunter — for the Tigers this season. Clemson still has one scholarship remaining for next season.
The Tigers could add a wing or guard with that spot. Guard Jaelin Llewellyn previously committed to Clemson but decommitted shortly thereafter. Llewellyn is still considering the Tigers.
Clemson also hosted forward Dexter Dennis for a visit last week.
