Latest on Clemson guard Chase Hunter

Clemson starting point guard Chase Hunter missed Tuesday’s game against Wake Forest.
According to a source, Hunter is doubtful for Saturday’s game against Virginia Tech.
The junior injured his foot this past Saturday against Duke. Hunter is second on the team in scoring, averaging 14 points per game.
He leads the Tigers in assists and is averaging 4.3 per game.
Clemson coach Brad Brownell spoke about Hunter’s injury following the Tigers game against Wake Forest earlier this week.

“I didn’t know much about it. Sunday it was very painful and it stayed painful here the last couple of days,” Brownell said. “When he’s ready he’ll go.”
With Hunter out, Josh Beadle moved into the starting lineup against the Demon Deacons. Beadle is likely to start again Saturday against the Hokies.
The redshirt freshman played well against Wake Forest but fouled out after 15 minutes.
