Injury update on Clemson PG Chase Hunter
Clemson starting point guard Chase Hunter missed Tuesday’s game at Wake Forest with a foot injury.
Clemson is already down one starting guard in shooting guard Alex Hemenway.
Hunter is second on Clemson’s team in scoring, averaging 14 points per game. He leads the Tigers in assists.
Brad Brownell discussed Hunter’s status after the game.
“I didn’t know much about it. Sunday it was very painful and it stayed painful here the last couple of days,” Brownell said. “When he’s ready he’ll go.”
Brownell added that he believes there’s a chance Hunter could play Saturday against Virginia Tech.
Hunter was amped up during the game and didn’t feel much pain, but after the game he was sore and couldn’t play against Wake Forest.
The Tigers suffered an 87-77 loss to the Demon Deacons, their first ACC loss of the season.
