Clemson assistants get new contracts, two get raises

The Clemson Board of Trustees approved new contracts for football assistant coaches and support staff members Friday morning.

Seven assistant coaches had a year added to their deal and received no compensation increase. Two Tigers assistants received raises.

The two coaches to receive raises were defensive tackles coach and defensive run game coordinator Nick Eason and assistant head coach, special teams coordinator and cornerbacks coach Mike Reed.

Both coaches received a $50,000 raise. Eason is now making $800,000 per year, while Reed is also making $800,000 per year.

Fellow assistants Thomas Austin, Mickey Conn, Wesley Goodwin, Tyler Grisham, Lemanski Hall, Kyle Richardson and CJ Spiller had a year added to their deals.

Austin, Grisham, Hall, Richardson and Spiller are on two-year deals.

Conn, Eason, Goodwin and Reed have three-year contracts.

Clemson did have one major staff change this offseason as offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter was fired and replaced by TCU offensive coordinator Garrett Riley.

Riley had his three-year contract approved by the Board of Trustees on Jan. 13. He will make $1.75 million per year for his three-year contract.

Wes Goodwin, Defensive coordinator, linebackers coach: 3-year contract, $850,000 per year

Tyler Grisham, Recruiting coordinator, wide receivers coach: 2-year contract, $450,000 per year

Lemanski Hall, defensive ends coach: 2-year contract, $650,000 per year
