With Clemson in the midst of their bye week, the program has several key issues they’re looking to correct during their time off.

Of course, most of those problems lie on the offensive side of the football.

At this time, the Tigers are currently No. 118 in the country when it comes to total yards (324) per game. They’re also averaging just 5.09 yards per play and have scored 13 offensive touchdowns this season.

There’s certainly plenty of blame to go around. The play calling has been questionable in some circumstances, the offensive line play is up and down, and quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei has yet to find his rhythm.

While the defense has been the bright spot of the season, there are areas for improvement there as well. That was very evident in last weekend’s game against Boston College as backup QB Dennis Grosel threw for over 300 yards against the secondary.

So, with all that being said, Clemson Sports’ Joseph Hastings and Matt Connolly address each of these issues, and share their thoughts on what needs to change for the Tigers to get back on track.

They also go down the rest of Clemson’s schedule and predict how they believe each game will play out. Both agree that the Tigers will lose at Pittsburgh on Oct. 23, but have differing opinions on the Nov. 6 road matchup with Louisville.

That Pittsburgh game will be one to pay attention to as Panthers signal caller Kenny Pickett is on a tear this season. Pickett has thrown for 1,731 yards and 19 touchdowns to just one interception in the fall.

They also take a close look at both the Wake Forest and Louisville matchups. The Cardinals have suffered losses to a couple of ranked opponents, while the Demon Deacons are a perfect 5-0 on the season.

Despite there being no game this week, there is a whole lot to discuss about the Tigers and how the rest of the year may play out.
