Brad Brownell provides injury update on star forward PJ Hall
Clemson star forward PJ Hall played only one minute of action on Saturday before being forced to leave the Tigers’ game against Louisville.
Hall, who has been battling a foot injury all season, came down wrong while catching a pass and was forced to sit out the final 39 minutes of Clemson’s 70-61 loss.
Tigers coach Brad Brownell said following the game that he doesn’t know if Hall will miss time due to the injury or not.
“He just landed on his foot. He kind of caught it on an awkward step… and just didn’t quite have his balance. I think he kind of stepped a little awkwardly on that right foot and he tweaked it and whatnot,” Brownell said. “We took him out and put some ice on it to see what it would feel like, but I knew, I told Brad [Clemson’s trainer], like there’s no reason to put him back in the game. I can’t imagine he’s going to feel better. So we just decided to shut him down.”
Hall leads Clemson in scoring, averaging 16 points per game. He’s also second on the team in rebounds with 6 per game and is an All-ACC candidate as he is enjoying a breakout sophomore season.

“He’s our number one option, there’s no doubt about it,” Brownell said.
Brownell said he is unsure if Hall will be sidelined moving forward.
Clemson F Hunter Tyson injury update
In addition to being without Hall for most of Saturday’s game, Clemson also continues to be without senior forward Hunter Tyson due to a broken clavicle.
Tyson is improving, though, and Brownell said it’s possible he could be back before the end of the regular season.
Previously Brownell said the ACC Tournament was the most realistic possibility.
“He started doing some things on the court a little bit this week,” Brownell said. “Is there a possibility he can get there for the last week of the regular season? … That might be optimistic, but if there’s a guy that can get to that point, it would probably be him. …I know he’s doing everything possible. He’s living in the training room.”
