Clemson picks up preferred walk-on commitment from quarterback
The Tigers added another member of the 2022 class on Tuesday ahead of signing day, this time in the form of a preferred walk-on quarterback.
Two-time South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year announced on Twitter he is headed to Clemson. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound quarterback from D W Daniel High School is not ranked by On3, but he did hold an offer from UAB.
“A dream come true! Thank you to everyone who has helped me develop as a person and an athlete,” he wrote in his commitment announcement.
The son of Danny Pearman, Clemson’s director of scouting, Trent Pearman led the Daniel Lions to a 14-0 record and a second consecutive Class AAA state title this year. He threw for over 3,700 yards and 45 touchdowns, while rushing for eight scores.
National Signing Day Eve notes and predictions for Clemson targets
All of the Clemson Tiger’s 2022 targets will have signed their National Letter of Intents.
On Wednesday, the program’s remaining targets in this class will publicly reveal their college decisions. Those prospects are Andrew Paul, Caden Story, Keith Adams Jr. and T.J. Dudley.
With their announcements right around the corner, Clemson Sports provides the expected announcement times and finalists for each of these recruits, as well as our predictions.

Hoops scoop: Latest Clemson basketball team, recruiting intel
After more than a week off, Clemson returns to action Wednesday night for a huge home game against Florida State.
The Tigers staff sees the second half of the season as a great opportunity. Clemson has 11 games remaining and seven of those are at home. This next two weeks in particular are huge. FSU visits Feb. 2, with a trip to Georgia Tech on Feb. 5. Clemson then has three straight home games against North Carolina Feb. 8, Duke Feb. 10 and Notre Dame Feb. 12.
