Who are the five Clemson targets to watch in the 2024 On300?
On3 has released its new rankings for the class of 2024. Clemson has only extended one known offer one player in the class of now.
That will change.
There are a number of highly ranked prospects for Clemson faithful to know. The Tigers recruit the southern portion of very heavily. Many of the rising juniors in the south have piqued their interest.
1. ATH Jaylen Mbakwe
Pinson (Ala.) Clayville-Chalkville athlete Jaylen Mbakwe is the top-ranked southern player. He hasn’t been on the Clemson campus yet, but the No. 4 overall prospect in the class of 2024 is a manageable drive away from the Clemson campus.
Mbakwe would fill needs for the Tigers on either side of the football. He can play wide receiver and he also plays in the secondary.
He recently said in an interview he would love to run track as well. Mbakwe possesses next-level speed.
2. ATH K.J. Bolden
Buford (Ga.) athlete K.J. Bolden fits a bunch of the same categories as Mbakwe. The Tigers have been a factor in Bolden’s recruitment early on.
On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Clemson 9.4 percent chance of landing Bolden as of now. He was recently on campus two weeks ago.
He checked in at No. 11 overall in the new On300. Bolden too is being recruited as a defensive back and wide receiver. He is also a South Carolina native.
Bolden is high on the Tigers’ culture already.
“That means a lot to me,” Bolden said last week. “They care more about their players than they do football. They make sure you’re good as a person before football. Clemson doesn’t offer a lot of kids. They mentioned to us the other day, that they’ve never had a top 10 recruiting class. That means a lot because they only want the best people to fit their personality and their scheme.”
3. WR Mike Matthews
Parkview (Ga.) athlete Mike Matthews was recently on Clemson’s campus. The Tigers are already a factor RPM. Matthews has a 40 percent chance to land the No. 65 overall prospect in the class of 2024.

4. LB Sammy Brown
Jefferson (Ga.) Sammy Brown is already a priority for Clemson in the class of 2024. He has the lone offer from the class of 2024. Brown is the No. 54 overall prospect in the new On300.
The Tigers are a factor early on. RPM has the Tigers trailing Georgia with a 13.6 percent chance to land Brown. Brown was recently on campus.
He has already built a strong relationship with linebackers coach Wesley Godwin.
“I love him,” Brown said. “He’s great. He’s insanely smart when it comes to football. We’re sitting there talking to him and he’s calling out certain plays that would come out of bunches and what kind of defense he would set up for any certain formation. He knows a lot about the game and I think he’s a really cool guy.”
5. QB Jaydn Davis
Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jaydn Davis was recently an in-state prospect. He just moved up to Charlotte after the fall semester.
Davis has been on the Clemson campus a ton with the most recent visit coming last weekend. The Tigers haven’t offered as of now.
Davis is the No. 62 overall prospect in the class of 2024.
