Clemson could be just a few hours away from adding another important piece to its 2023 recruiting class.

Four-star offensive lineman Zechariah Owens is set to announce his decision later today.

The Georgia native selected the 4th of July at 3 p.m. for his commitment time.

Owens holds offers from Clemson, South Carolina, Florida State, Georgia, Penn State and others. Clemson has a 93.6 percent chance of landing Owens, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

On3’s Jeremy Johnson and Ryan Snyder have both entered predictions for Owens to choose Clemson.

Owens took an official visit to Clemson last month. He has spoke highly of Tigers offensive line coach Thomas Austin throughout the recruiting process.

““Thomas Austin, the way he runs his program and his meetings, he makes sure at the end of the day that you know what you’re doing,” Owens said in May. “He’s not sending you out there with a blind eye. He’ll sit you down and work with you until you really know what you’re doing.”

Owens would become Clemson’s 16th commitment for the class of 2023 and its third offensive line commit, should he choose the Tigers.
