Gators Online Show: Florida lands two commitments
Welcome to the Gators Online Show! For episode 90, co-hosts Zach Abolverdi and Nick de la Torre discuss Florida picking up a pair of pledges on the recruiting trail Thursday.
Billy Napier and his staff landed a commitment from USC transfer Jason Zandamela, the No. 29 overall transfer and No. 2 interior offensive lineman in the On3 Industry Rankings. He becomes the highest-ranked transfer in UF’s 2024 class.
We break down the significance of the Gators adding Zandamela to their offensive line class, which now includes a total of six true freshmen, how he fits in at the guard position and what kind of impact he could make this season.
We then cover Florida’s 2024 transfer class as a whole and another target for UF, former Arizona State receiver Elijhah Badger, a top-100 overall transfer. He has visited Washington and is reportedly lining up visits to Florida and Arizona.
The conversation then switches gears as we react to Florida having just one selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, which marked the program’s worst draft class since 1980. We assess how these results happened and UF’s draft prospects for 2025.
