Georgia targets on big stage at Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic

High school football in the state of Georgia begins for real this week. The earliest high school games in the country kickoff with the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic beginning on Wednesday.

The games consist of multiple Atlanta area programs which means there are Georgia targets hitting the field all week.

Here’s a guide of which players to have your eyes in this nationally televised high school football spectacle.

Frederick Douglass vs Lagrange Wednesday 4:30 p.m. at Kell High School

The game will feature a new Georgia commit in four-star cornerback Jontae Gilbert. Gilbert committed to the Bulldogs on Saturday. He will play cornerback, safety and in the box as a linebacker as well as wide receiver for Douglass.

Also on Douglass’ team is 2028 athlete Casey Barner. Barner already expects to be a two-way starter for Douglass and has an offer from the Bulldogs already. He’ll be a name to know.

Lagrange features talented 2026 wideout Jardon Stringer. Georgia has not been in heavy communication yet but he has major Power Four offers in hand already from the likes of Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, Penn State, Texas A&M and others.

North Atlanta vs. Kell Wednesday at Kell 7:30 p.m.

North Atlanta will feature a player that Georgia has been on heavily as of late in four-star Rutgers edge commit Chase Linton. The four-star edge is a big piece of North Atlanta’s defense.

Kell features 2027 running back Moonie Gipson who holds an offer from the Bulldogs already. The Bulldogs have also at least made contact with 2025 wide receiver Jadon George, a UT Chattanooga commit. He’s a player to watch as well. Brayden Rouse is also a rising name in the 2026 class who camped at Georgia this summer as a two-way prospect.

South Paulding vs Dunwoody Thursday at West Forsyth 4:30 p.m.

South Paulding features a pair of offensive linemen who have camped at Georgia in Jayce Sanker and Tyler Chukuyem. Neither player has an offer from Georgia as of now but have been on the radar of Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels for some time.

Prince Avenue Christian vs West Forsyth 7:30 p.m. at West Forsyth

Prince Avenue Christian is home to former Georgia defensive line commit, four-star Christian Garrett. The No. 62 overall prospect has reopened his recruitment. He’s the highest-ranked prospect in On3’s 2025 rankings playing in the games in the 2025 class this week.

Prince Avenue will unveil a new star running back in 2027 ball carrier Andrew Beard. Beard has an offer from Georgia early on. He’s the nephew of former Georgia star Garrison Hearst. Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo’s son, Jake, also suits up for Prince Avenue as a quarterback and linebacker.

Therrell at Hebron Christian Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Hebron Christian features two prospects with Georgia offers. 2025 defensive back Gerritt Kemp picked up an offer from Georgia back in the winter from Fran Brown. He has since committed to Duke. 2025 defensive lineman Sichan John also saw Georgia offer during the summer, though committed to Virginia later on in June.

Cass vs. Callaway Friday 7:30 p.m. at Rome

Cass returns 2026 quarterback Brodie McWhorter, who is committed to West Virginia. Georgia extended an offer shortly before five-star Jared Curtis committed to the Bulldogs. 2026 offensive linemen Bear McWhorter and Kail Ellis have Georgia offers as well.

Saturday Mercedes-Benz Stadium Atlanta

Walton vs Brookwood 10 a.m.

To open the final day of play in the home of the Atlanta Falcons, Brookwood and Walton continue their places as mainstays in this event. Walton features 2026 wideout Christian Ward and his brother, 2027 wide receiver, Alex Ward. Both have offers from the Bulldogs early in the process.

Brookwood’s lead running back is 2027 star Brayden Tyson. Tyson has a Georgia offer. He’s the son of former Georgia defensive lineman DeAngelo Tyson.

Alpharetta vs Houston County 1 p.m.

The name to know from a Georgia perspective is 2026 four-star Jordan Smith. He’s a playmaking safety for Houston County. He added the offer from the Bulldogs during the evaluation period. Smith is a name to know.

Alpharetta features Michigan four-star edge commit Julius Holly. Houston County also features Memphis four-star quarterback commit Antwann Hill, recruited lightly by the Bulldogs earlier in the process.

McEachern vs North Gwinnett 4 p.m.

McEachern has a pair of offensive stars that hold offers from Georgia. 2026 four-star wide receiver Nalin Scott transferred in this offseason. Georgia is high on Scott’s board. 2026 running back Jayreon Campbell also has been offered by Georgia.

North Gwinnett is home to newly offered Rutgers commit Braxton Kyle. Kyle plays alongside a Georgia legacy in London Seymour. Jake Godfree is a 2027 linebacker with major Power Four offers. Georgia has had him in camp already.

Douglas County vs Cedar Grove 7 p.m.

Douglas County is loaded with 2026 wide receivers Aaron Gregory and Devin Carter. Georgia is on the radar for both players. Georgia is also in pursuit of 2026 four-star edge Jordan Carter who is also a star at Douglas County.

A new name to monitor is Joshua Sam Epelle. The 6-foot-8 325-pound offensive tackle will be an off-the-bench option for Douglas County. He already has an offer from Georgia in the Class of 2027.
