The Iowa football program will have a pair of defensive players and a tight end headed to Indianapolis later this month for Big Ten Media Days.

For the second straight year, Luke Lachey will be joined by Jay Higgins, who will be returning to his hometown of Indianapolis. Last year, Higgins was a late replacement for Noah Shannon, who was involved in the student-athlete gambling issues at Iowa. This year he will be joined by free safety Quinn Schulte.

All three players are seniors with Schulte and Higgins using their Covid year to return this season.

Big Ten Media Days this season will debut a three-day format, July 23-25, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, with Commissioner Tony Petitti addressing the media on day one. The Big Ten Network will provide live coverage all three days.

Iowa will appear on the second day of the annual gathering of the Big Ten Conference. That day will be July 24th, along with Nebraska, Michigan State, UCLA, USC, and Penn State.

Day one will have Illinois, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, and Wisconsin, and the third day will have Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, and Washington.
