Our Kansas State buzz comes via a message board post at KSO and discusses a little more about the Farmageddon rivalry between the Wildcats and Iowa State that will be played in Ireland in 2025 as part of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.

Teams like Northwestern, Navy, Notre Dame and Nebraska have played at Aviva Stadium in the past. This year’s contest overseas will be between Florida State and Georgia Tech. Chris Klieman will take K-State to Europe in a little over a year.

But how will that affect the rest of the schedule for the Wildcats that particular season? It will be another year with Big 12 title chances and/or expectations considering the roster Kansas State could have for that campaign.

Will they play the following week? When will they take their bye weeks?

The K-State basketball recruiting chase has been quiet since landing Mobi Ikegwuruka and Samford playmaker Achor Achor. While other teams were out and about on the EYBL circuit, the Wildcats’ staff decided to take a deep breath after what has been an unending, exhausting push for transfers.

I like that move. That is good for program morale, especially on coaching staffs that can be worked to the brink. Jerome Tang always has a good pulse on what is needed at the right times. However, a dead period starts Wednesday and lasts until June 3. Do they sneak in a visitor before that?

We have been stuck in recruiting mode at KSO and on the K-State beat for months at this point. A little team information is probably a sigh of relief. Though the football team in Manhattan is looking forward to competing for conference titles now, the future is bright as well.

It is time to shine on a spotlight on a player that exudes enormous potential in the future and why.
