Last night, the “best NBA prospect since LeBron” made his rookie debut in San Antonio. Victor Wembenyama scored 15 points in 23 minutes played due to foul trouble in the Spurs’ home-opening loss to Dallas.

Meanwhile, Cason Wallace made his rookie debut on the road with the Oklahoma City Thunder in Chicago. In doing so, Wallace made his case for the best NBA player of all time.

The numbers don’t lie.

The former Kentucky star came off the bench for 13 points and 19 minutes in the Thunder’s win over the Bulls. Wallace’s efficiency caught the league’s attention in his first game as he hit all five of his shots from the field. Wallace went 5-for-5 and 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, marking the first time in the history of the Association that a player has been perfect from the field for a career on five or more shots.

So, right now, Wallace is the best shooter to ever wear an NBA uniform. Who can argue? He’s the all-time leader in field goal and three-point percentage.

Nike got him for cheap

Before Wallace’s breakout game Wednesday night, Nike signed the former Cat and 12 other rookies to new shoe deals. Wallace’s agent should’ve waited until today to talk money.

KSR will have plenty more from last night’s NBA action featuring former Wildcats.
