Watkinsville (Ga.) Oconee County linebacker Whit Weeks announced his commitment to LSU. The 6-2, 205-pound prospect becomes the latest commitment for Brian Kelly & Co. in the 2023 class after he took an official visit in June.

Weeks committed to LSU over the likes of Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee and numerous other programs.

Earlier this year, Whit Weeks got a chance to watch his brother, West Weeks, practice with LSU after transferring in from Virginia this offseason. Getting a chance to be around Kelly’s program impressed him in a big way.

“I went down there last week and it blew my mind how the facilities are,” Weeks told On3. “The campus is awesome. With my brother being there, it would be a cool thing to play with my brother.

“They won the natty in 2019 and they’re trying to get back to those standards and they think with a good 2023 class, then they’ll have a chance to do that there.”
