Class of 2024 EDGE Cole McConathy flips to Miami
Class of 2024 EDGE Cole McConathy of Spanish Fort (AL) High flipped his commitment from Louisville to Miami Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-5, 230 pounder had been committed to the Hurricanes since July.
“There were several reasons, that’s the most I’ve ever been recruited by a head coach. They made me and my family feel like a priority. Along with a great education and getting coached by two legends as your position coach (Jason Taylor and Joe Salave’a).”
His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him played a role in his decision as well.
“So it was originally Phillip Rivers that got me in touch with Coach Stroud who coached him at NC State. From then on it was Coach Cristobal and the entire staff. Their scheme is very similar to the one I’m in now and they plan on using me as an EDGE.”
