The hosts began the show discussing Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore‘s comfortability at media days and his confidence in his team.

“I thought Sherrone Moore was fantastic,” Balas said. “He seems confident. All these people, even a few Michigan fans, ‘Oh, he’s in over his head. What’s he done to deserve the job, so on and so forth?’ He seems like anything but. He seems like a guy who’s confident in his ability, he feels like a guy that really learned a lot from [former Michigan coach] Jim Harbaugh and a guy that’s gonna keep this thing going.

“I loved what he said about [senior fullback / tight end] Max Bredeson — what a stud he is. I think people underestimate Max Bredeson and his impact, what he’s gonna have on this team. He epitomizes the toughness of this Michigan program that we’ve seen the last three years the way that they’ve won and the way that they’ve bullied Ohio State, if we’re being honest, in two of those three years.

“And how about [Ohio State head coach] Ryan Day‘s remarks, guys, that, ‘We should have won that game’? Come on, clown. You know what, you either win it or you don’t. There is no ‘should’ or ‘shouldn’t.’ We could go back and play the should or shouldn’t game from the 17 years that Ohio State dominated the rivalry.

“[Senior running back] Donovan Edwards, love that kid. Hope that he gets everything that he should get this year of being a No. 1 back and the accolades that come with it. Great day. It was a fun day yesterday.”
