Former Michigan guard Trey Burke, the national player of the year, hit a shot to tie the game against Kansas with 4.2 seconds left in regulation in the 2013 Sweet 16. The Wolverines went on to win, beat Florida in the Elite Eight, take care of Syracuse in the Final Four and lose in controversial fashion to Louisville in the national championship game.

Not only did Burke’s shot spark Michigan’s run to the season’s final Monday night, it began an incredible stretch for the program at large. Including that 2013 run, the Wolverines have won 23 NCAA Tournament games since 2013 and have largely been a mainstay in March, with this season being an abberation.

Michigan offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore is “living a dream” as the sole play caller. He discussed his new role in a press conference this week.

The Michigan flag that the Wolverines planted into midfield after the 45-23 win over Ohio State last November made its way to Schembechler Hall, as head coach Jim Harbaugh hoped for. There’s now a special mount for it, and it’s front and center in the lobby.

Michigan basketball extended an offer to 2025 Detroit Cass Tech guard Darius Acuff, a state championship with his team this spring. Acuff scored 19 points in each of the semifinal and final games to lead his team to the title.

Quote Of The Day

“He’s very deserving of (the No. 1 ranking) because of the body of work. But what people don’t see is his work ethic and infectious leadership. They don’t see his grades and how he dominates the classroom. He’s lost two coaches and is still corralling the team and keeping guys together and holding personal workouts. On3 made a sound decision, making him the No. 1 player in the country. I think he’s the No. 1 player in the country regardless of class.”
