How to watch and listen: Mississippi State vs. Eastern Kentucky
Mississippi State begins a new era of football on Saturday against Eastern Kentucky. Head coach Jeff Lebby will make his coaching debut on Saturday and back in November, he became the school’s 36th all-time head coach in school history.
The Bulldogs are coming off a disappointing 5-7 season in 2023 and saw their 13-season bowl streak snapped. Mississippi State has won seven straight season openers and own a 26-1 all-time record against FCS opponents. The lone loss came against Maine in the 2004 campaign.
Saturday’s meeting marks the first-ever matchup between Eastern Kentucky and Mississippi State, who also opened the 2023 season against an FCS foe in Southeastern Louisiana. Eastern Kentucky finished 5-6 a year ago.
