Nebraska Volleyball adds middle blocker Manaia Ogbechie to their class of 2025. The 6-foot-3 middle is from Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California. She is the fifth addition to NU’s class of 2025.

Ogbechie is ranked No. 90 in PrepVolleyball.com’s rankings and is No. 123 in her class, according to PrepDig.com. The middle plays club for Sports Academy in California.

Ogbechie is a blocking machine. She had 119 total blocks as a junior and 116 as a sophomore. The 6-foot-3 athlete averaged 3.8 blocks per match as a junior. She also recorded 29 aces in her junior and sophomore seasons.

The 2025 prospect has a great instinct for blocking and a quick, strong arm on attacks. Although her ranking isn’t very high now, she has the ability to skyrocket in numbers. However, prospect rankings do not matter at the college level, and Nebraska has proven that.

Ogbechie joins setter Campbell Flynn, outside hitter Teraya Sigler, libero Keri Leimbach and opposite hitter Ryan Hunter in Nebraska’s Class of 2025. As for NU’s middle blocker group, she’ll join Rebekah Allick and Andi Jackson in 2025.
