Ohio State football recruiting can be a wild ride full of twists and turns as recruits from all over the country maneuver their way to signing day. Lettermen Row is here to help navigate the tumultuous roads by getting to the heart of the matter with the young football players and Ohio State coaches and staff members themselves. This week’s guest is North Carolina standout receiver Noah Rogers.

The first — and only — visit to Ohio State for Noah Rogers left a great impression on the top-ranked 2023 football prospect in North Carolina.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver had high expectations going into that trip. He told Lettermen Row about those expectations in February at the Under Armor Camp Series stop in Atlanta. Getting to spend more time with Brian Hartline was the most important part of that trip.

“I like how he recruits a little bit differently,” Rogers said. “He’s just really chill about it. It’s never too much about football. He’s just really cool and all that. I like what we’ve got going on.”

Since being in Columbus last month, Noah Rogers has had a lot to think about. He’s begun to earnestly consider the next steps in his recruitment and narrowed his top schools list down to five. Ohio State is the lone Big Ten school still in consideration as the Buckeyes battle North Carolina, North Carolina State, Clemson and Florida State. Oklahoma, Alabama and others hoping to get into the conversation before he locks in a college choice.

What has made Ohio State feel like the right choice so far for Noah Rogers? What is it about his relationship with Brian Hartline that stands out? How does he feel about the Buckeyes maybe bringing in four receivers in the 2023 recruiting class? When will Rogers be back in Columbus and does he have any other official visits planned?

The four-star receiver from Rolesville (N.C.) High School talks about those things and more in the latest edition of Birminology from Lettermen Row.
