The Flagship: DJ Mann, new Ole Miss football assistant director for player personnel

First reported by 247Sports’ Mike Roach last weekend, former Texas recruiting superstar DJ Mann has been hired by Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.

Mann has been a staple in Texas high school football for several years, working all across the Lone Star State. The newest staffer has worked in East Texas at Sulphur Springs, in Houston at Crosby, around the Metroplex at Cedar Hill, Ranchview and Spruce and in West Texas at Coronado where he most recently served as head coach.

A former player, DJ is a longtime friend of one of Kiffin’s biggest acquisitions this offseason. Mann and new general manager, Alex Brown, have been tight for the last decade. The two bounce ideas off each other as well as help one another with recruiting, scouting and evaluations.
