Ole Miss dominated No. 25 Kentucky in the opening round of the 2024 SEC Softball Tournament.

The Rebels (31-24, 7-17 SEC) scored runs in five different innings for a 7-2 win Tuesday night at host Auburn. One of two hits in four at-bats for senior Paige Smith was a homer, the 38th of her Ole Miss career, and the fourth-most ever. She also had an RBI single. Jalia Lassiter capped the night with a two-run blast of her own.

Grace Sparks and Brianna Lopez partnered up in the circle to hold the Wildcats to three hits. Sparks earned her ninth win in allowing just one earned run over her 4.1 innings. Lopez secured the save with a perfect relief appearance. She retired all seven batters she faced.
