The dominoes are starting to fall in the 2025 recruiting class. Now you can add another one of Oregon’s biggest targets to the list.

On Thursday morning Matthews (NC) Weddington defensive lineman Trajen Odom announced that he will be making his college commitment on June 28.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman is fresh off his official visit to Oregon and will take his final official visit to USC this weekend.

During his official visit Odom spent extensive time with two of Oregon’s top defensive line signees from the 2024 cycle, Aydin Breland and Jericho Johnson.

“I spent a lot of tome with my player hosts and getting to know them. It was one of my favorite parts of the weekend,” Odom told ScoopDuck’s Justin Hopkins after the trip. “I was asking a lot of questions about their experiences and going through the recruiting process. They both feel like Lanning is building an SEC school out West so it was a no-brainer for them to play at Oregon.”

He’s also taken official visits to Ohio State and UCLA during his recruitment. The West Coast native has narrowed his list of 40 reported scholarship offers to six and is focusing on Oregon, Ohio State, UCLA, USC, Georgia and Colorado heading into his decision.

Oregon has two verbal commitments along the defensive line in the 2025 recruiting class with Concord (Calif.) De La Salle defensive lineman Matthew Johnson and Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei EDGE Nasir Wyatt.

Odom is the latest major Oregon target that is set to come off the board this month alongside safety Omarion Robinson (June 29) and tight end Da’Saahn Brame (June 29) and linebacker Noah Mikhail (June 30).
