Afterward, Franklin and his top Penn State assistants spoke to the media to discuss the team’s progress. We’ll provide you with the most interesting quotes and notable comments from Franklin, offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki, special teams coordinator Justin Lustig, and defensive coordinator Tom Allen.

Topics for today’s Between the Lines segment include Drew Allar’s ability to process information, the battle for the third running back, position switches and offensive line combinations, and more.

Pickel will discuss the kicker situation that Lustig outlined for the regular season and how the new rules change Penn State’s red light and green light system for determining redshirt status for freshmen.
