We start with basketball. According to multiple reports, former Penn State guard Jalen Pickett is set to sign a multi-year deal with the Denver Nuggets. The team picked him in the second round of this year’s NBA Draft.
“The Denver Nuggets and No. 32 pick Jalen Pickett agreed to a four-year, $8.3 million deal,” Michael Scotto reported for Hoops Hype, citing sources.
“The first three years of the deal are fully guaranteed. A strong deal for Pickett, who was a projected undrafted player in mock drafts until days before the draft.”
In other news, Penn State coach James Franklin made his most public name, image, and likeness plea to fans to date on Wednesday, asking for donations to the school’s collective, Happy Valley United.
