Nic Moore finds ‘place for me’ in commitment to Tennessee
DANDRIDGE — Jefferson County offensive lineman Nic Moore is officially a Tennessee Vol commitment after pulling the trigger on Thursday morning. Before making his announcement, he detailed his decision with Volquest.
“Tennessee was close to home and close to my family,” Moore said. “It just like the place for me. Great ball, great school and great placement for after football career.”
He got plenty of time with Josh Heupel and Glen Elarbee last weekend and they impressed upon him the family feel that resonates on Rocky Top.
“I like they were really genuine people,” Moore said. “It wasn’t just what the said but what they did. They weren’t just men of their words but they were men of their actions too. They were always in there helping other people. Their connections with other players and staff was something you don’t see everywhere else.”
He was able to spend a lot of time with other recruits last weekend and watching how they went through the process gave him peace about how he was going through the process.
“It kind of helped in that it reassured me in how I’m looking at it is the right way,” Moore said. “I need to take my time and look at the schools and not just select the biggest name because it’s the biggest name.”
So what is Tennessee getting in the two way high school lineman? First and foremost they are getting someone that is willing to grind.
“Tennessee is getting an attentive center and someone who is willing to learn at all times,” Moore said. “I’ll always try to be my best and work hard at all times. Tennessee will set me up to go wherever I want to go in life, I want to go to the NFL and I know I’ll have to prepare to get there.”
Moore will now focus on his senior season for the Patriots. He joins Antoni Ogumoro as the second commitment on the offensive line for the 2025 class.
