Texas A&M offered 2025 Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab athlete Keylan Moses, the younger brother of former Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses, an elite recruit in the 2016 cycle, last week. The offer came as somewhat of a surprise to Moses, who holds eight offers to date.
“I was kind of surprised because I was going to go there in the summer for a camp and it makes it kind of easier since I got the offer now,” he said. “Now it’s time to show what I got for the camp and make it better for them.”
Moses is familiar with Jimbo Fisher from his older brother’s recruiting process, as Fisher was in heavy pursuit of Dylan Moses back when he was at Florida State, and his early impression of the head coach has the Aggies standing out.
“He used to recruit my brother but he wasn’t at the school at the time but I know he’s a real good coach,” he said. He has a real good personal as a coach for the players and all and he really stands out for the program in my eyes.”
Following the advice of his brother and his University Lab teammates, like 2023 four-star linebacker Jaiden Ausberry, Moses stated he’s taking his time with the process and having fun. Being so young, he’s nowhere near a decision right now and is just taking everything in stride.
“I’m just having fun and taking it all in,” he said. “It’s a dream come true. So I’m just taking things in and having fun like they told me to do.”
The freshman already holds offers from the likes of LSU, Florida and Alabama, in addition to Texas A&M after just one season of high school football.

Moses has only made visits to LSU and Mississippi State so far, but will look to see more of the country this summer. He has plans to visit Texas A&M, Texas, Houston and SMU, among other schools in the Lone Star State and plans to visit schools in Florida, in addition to some of the other SEC schools that have offered so far.
Moses has a checklist he runs through on each visit to get a feel for what each school has to offer a
“How they interact with their players, how the players interact with the coaches, how I may fit in, like the spots I may fit in at the time,” he said. “The school itself, the places I could be around the campus if I’m not in school or practice, facilities, workout rooms, all around the whole perception of the school.”
Like his older brother, the younger Moses best projects to linebacker at the next level, but will play a multitude of positions in high school. As a freshman, Moses played outside linebacker and defensive end. As a sophomore, he stated he could play both ways, as a running back on the offensive side and a linebacker or defensive end on the defensive side of the ball.
Looking ahead to his sophomore year, Moses has lofty goals for himself and his team.
“Become the No. 1 linebacker in Louisiana and of course, five-star,” he said. “For my team, win another state championship, help my coach win, undefeated season.”
