Following a busy five months of offseason camps and the first half of the junior season, On3 has updated its On300 football prospect rankings for the 2024 cycle, which included over 70 prospects making their debut in the rankings. After the update, here’s a look at five prospects Texas A&M should consider offering.

Midlothian (Tex.) High four-star WR Bryant Wesco

The four-star out of Midlothian (Tex.) High was the biggest in-state mover in the On300 update, rising from unranked to the No. 28 prospect and No. 6 wide receiver in the country. He’s been the go-to receiver for the 7-0 Panthers this season, with 689 yards and ten touchdowns on 34 receptions, impressive statistics considering he plays in a triple option offense. No other receiver on the team even has 100 total receiving yards this season. Standing 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, he’s a lengthy target on the outside, who moves quite well for his size. He’s got verified athleticism with a triple jump mark over 46 feet, separates well at the top of routes and after the catch, with intriguing body control and ball skills. The prospect out of Texas holds five offers to date, with Oklahoma, TCU and Baylor among notable schools in pursuit.

Ray-Pec (Mo.) High TE Jaden Reddell

Reddell started his high school career as a receiver, and has very natural ability as a pass-catcher, but has grown into a tight end prospect. The 6-foot-5, 225 pounds and is now rated the top tight end prospect in the country per the On300 after a strong start to his junior season. In seven games, he’s recorded 716 yards and nine touchdowns in seven games. Alabama, Tennessee, Nebraska, Oregon, Missouri, Kansas State, Michigan, South Carolina and Auburn are among schools that have already offered. He’d fit quite well in Texas A&M’s scheme and would complement the tight end room quite well.

Brownsboro (Tex.) High WR Gekyle Baker

Another in-state wide receiver, Baker is a three-sport standout at Brownsboro on the football field, on the basketball court and with a 6-4 foot high jump and 21.80 second mark in the 200 meters, on the track as well. Like the aforementioned Wesco, he’s a long strider with a lengthy frame, but is especially good as a deep threat. Texas A&M is looking for big-body wideouts and Baker fits the mold. The four-star holds seven offers to date with the likes of Texas, Oklahoma State and Baylor in pursuit.

Birmingham (Ala.) Vestavia Hills EDGE Jordan Ross

The four-star out of Alabama rose from unranked to the No. 72 prospect and No. 8 edge rusher in the country per the On300. He’s a freak athlete at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, with a 4.6 40-yard dash and a 35-inch vertical, who also stars on the basketball court. He’s recorded over seven sacks in eight games and has seen offers from the likes of Georgia, Tennessee and Auburn as of late. He fits the profile of what Texas A&M is looking for in a pass-rusher. The Aggies are no strangers to recruiting the state of Alabama, could Ross be next?

San Antonio (Tex.) Veterans Memorial RB James Peoples

Texas A&M has a pretty deep running back board in the 2024 cycle, but what’s one more in-state back on the board? Peoples has a projectable frame, standing 5-foot-11, 192 pounds, has rushed for over 1,000 yards already this season, averaging over 10 yards per carry. He’s a downhill runner who explodes in the whole, has great contact balance, upper body strength and footwork. He’s recently landed offers from Miami and Ohio State, with schools like Texas, Missouri and TCU already in pursuit.
