Poe is the No. 142 overall prospect and No. 6 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 28 player in Texas.

The 6-foot-4.5, 285-pounder holds 19 total offers. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Oklahoma with a narrow lead over Texas Tech to land a commitment from Poe. Texas A&M currently sits in third place.

Poe’s recent trip to Texas A&M was the second he’s taken this year. He last visited the Aggies on Jan. 21.

Poe currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $84K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Poe would add to another strong class for the Aggies

Texas A&M finished the 2022 recruiting cycle with one of the best classes in history. While they weren’t quite able replicate that level of success in 2023, the Aggies still signed a top-15 class

The Aggies seem to be on their way to building another top-15 class this cycle. Texas A&M currently has four commitments and their class ranks as the No. 16 class in the country and the No. 8 class in the SEC.

Their four commitments are Longview (Texas) Pine Tree four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, Katy (Texas) Tompkins interior offensive lineman Ashton Funk, Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove three-star quarterback Anthony Maddox and Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton three-star wide receiver Debron Gatling.

On3 Scouting Summary

Sudden and physically dominant interior offensive line prospect who won a state championship in the shot put as a sophomore. Threw 57-foot-4 in the shot put and 129-foot-4 in the discus during his sophomore track and field season. Excellent hip flexibility and knee bend. Understands leverage and wins at the point of attack consistently. Violent in the run game and plays with tenacity. Terrific build and weight distribution throughout his frame. Lacks prototypical length to play on the outside but has the foot speed and body control to play tackle in a pinch. Need to see him maintain his athleticism as he adds mass. Has a chance to be the top interior lineman in the country.
