2023 Pittsburg (Cal.) High four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada is down to seven schools and has a decision date in mind, the junior announced on Tuesday.

Rashada is down to Florida, Oregon, Cal, Miami, Ole Miss, LSU and Texas A&M and is looking to announce his commitment on June 18th.

“I’ll be committing on my dad’s birthday,” Rashada told On3. “I’m going to be doing the most research possible and picking wherever is best for me and my future.”

Rashada, who has yet to visit College Station, but will likely change that ahead of his commitment date, is intrigued by the momentum of Jimbo Fisher’s program.

“I love Coach Fisher and Coach Dickey’s offense and how much they’re leveling up,” he said. “I love the momentum their program has had.”

Rashada was only offered by Texas A&M last month and described the offer as a “dream offer.” The Aggies re-entered the quarterback market just a few months ago, after losing the commitment of Zachary (La.) High four-star Eli Holstein, who re-opened his recruitment to explore all his options as Alabama, in-state LSU, Florida and Oregon, among others have been heavily recruiting the Louisiana native.

Since losing Holstein’s commitment, the Aggies have offered three quarterbacks: Detroit (Mich.) King five-star Dante Moore, Bellflower (Cali.) St. John Bosco four-star Pierce Clarkson, who’s currently committed to Louisville and Rashada. The staff will look to get Moore on campus in the coming months, potentially on an official visit, but have a lot of ground to make up. Clarkson has been heavily involved in peer recruiting others to join him at Louisville and is unlikely to leave the class he’s helped build. Rashada is the most open of the three and the Aggies could gain some serious, serious momentum once the California native visits campus.

The four-star is coming off a weekend visit to Oregon, made the first of his five official visits to Ole Miss last month, with unofficial visits to LSU and Arkansas in April as well, and last stopped through Miami back in March. Of his top seven, only Ole Miss holds a quarterback commit to date, in Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell Academy four-star Marcel Reed.

As it stands, Oregon remains the school to beat in Rashada’s recruitment per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 38% chance to land the four-star. Miami trails in second with a 26.2% chance, and Texas A&M is currently running third, with a 21.6% chance at the talented junior.

Rashada ranks as the No. 58 prospect and No. 7 quarterback in the country per the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $454K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
