Three-star IOL Landen Hatchett sets Texas A&M official visit

Ferndale (Wash.) three-star interior offensive lineman Landen Hatchett dropped his top five schools of Michigan, Oregon, USC, Washington and Texas A&M on Thursday night.

In addition, the three-star announced he will take official visits to these five schools in the next couple months with a plan to announce a commitment prior to his senior season.

The three-star has scheduled an official visit to Texas A&M June 10th per On3’s Eric McKinney. Hatchett will take his first official visit to Oregon May 13-15, Michigan June 17th, the week after his Texas A&M OV and Washington the week after, June 24th. The only date unconfirmed as it stands is his visit to USC.

Hatchett previously visited College Station for the Maroon & White Game last month after landing an offer from the Aggies back in February. Since offering, Texas A&M has gained some serious momentum in the recruitment of Hatchett but Oregon appears to be the school to beat in Hatchett’s recruitment. The Ducks are the current favorite to land the three-star out of Washington, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Oregon has a 79.8% chance of signing Hatchett with no other team having a percentage about 10%.

Hatchett, the brother of Washington Huskies offensive lineman Geirean Hatchett, and his family have visited Oregon a number of times over the year between the two brothers’ recruitment but with the coaching change from Mario Cristobal to Dan Lanning, there has been a bit of an adjustment period for Hatchett and his family in regards to the Ducks.

New offensive line coach Adrian Klemm has made Hatchett a top priority at Oregon since his arrival, and after visiting Klemm, Lanning and the new staff, the Ducks are picking up where they left off under Cristobal in Hatchett’s recruitment.

Texas A&M faces some stiff competition from both the Ducks and Huskies, and have a crowded interior offensive line board themselves, but if the staff pushes, and makes Hatchett a priority, there is belief the Aggies can gain some serious momentum in the three-star’s recruitment in the coming months.

Hatchett is the 11th-ranked player from the state of Washington and third-ranked offensive lineman from the state. The only two offensive linemen ranked ahead of him are Snoqualmie (Wash.) Mount Si three-star offensive tackle Heath Ozaeta and Burien (Wash.) Kennedy Catholic three-star interior offensive lineman Micah Banuelos.

Hatchett ranks as the No. 881 overall recruit and No. 88 interior offensive lineman in the 2023 cycle per the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
