2023 Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach four-star cornerback Caleb Presley was just in the state of Texas last week competing with FSP at the Pylon Dallas tournament and found his way back in the Lone Star State for the Battle Dallas tournament competing with the Trillion Boys.
Ahead of the weekend tournament, after originally planning to visit Texas A&M next month, Presley quickly set up a visit and made his way down to College Station with his uncle and cousin for the first time since camping in Aggieland last summer.
This time around, Presley had the opportunity to visit with the coaches and see the Aggies in action at practice.
“What stood out was the gameplay,” he said. “Just the way that they’re playing ball. They’re fast, efficient, sometimes you don’t really see that at certain schools, but I think Texas A&M, they make it a point to make sure these guys are ready to go and give it their best.”
Presley also had an opportunity to meet with new defensive coordinator D.J Durkin for the first time.
“He was a cool dude,” he said. “Got a chance to meet him, he’s very humble, showed a lot of hospitality to me and my family while we were down there. I think Texas A&M is coming up again real soon.”
For Presley, the chance to potentially contribute early in his college career makes the Aggies especially intriguing.

“Just being able to be a small piece in a big school, making an impact early on, I want to come in and play and contribute to the team,” he said. “Me and [defensive backs coach] Coach [TJ] Rushing talked about it, I definitely have an opportunity to come play.”
The four-star is already planning a return visit later this spring with his parents and the rest of the family. Outside of a return trip to College Station, Presley has some SEC visits planned for April, with plans to take an official visit to Alabama at some point this spring.
He’s looking to cut down his list in the near future with a plan to have a commitment made ahead of his senior season. The Aggies are firmly inside his top schools list, along with Oregon, Alabama LSU, USC and Michigan State, among a couple other schools.
Presley ranks as the No. 82 prospect and No. 9 cornerback nationally per the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks higher in the On300 as the No. 78 prospect and No. 11 cornerback in the country. The four-star has an NIL Valuation of $7.1K. The NIL Valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
