WeAreSC On3: Basketball All-Conference, Women's Sports Rankings, Recruiting Updates
WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping the news and notes of USC athletics. In today’s edition, it’s multiple USC Men’s Basketball players earning Pac-12 honors. Also, the latest rankings for the Women of Troy and Tuesday’s recruiting updates from WeAreSC.
Drew Peterson and Isaiah Mobley Earn Pac-12 First Team Honors
With the regular season over, the Pac-12’s conference awards were announced Tuesday. USC’s Drew Peterson and Isaiah Mobley both represented USC on the Pac-12’s First Team. Mobley additionally earned a Pac-12 Defensive Team Honorable Mention. Also for the Trojans, Boogie Ellis was an all-conference honorable mention. The Trojans will participate in the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas later this week.
Women’s Sports Rankings
Tuesday was International Women’s Day and USC Athletics gave a shoutout to the women’s teams currently in season. As of March 8th, seven Women of Troy teams are inside the Top 20 of the rankings of their respective sports.
Beach Volleyball is 4-1 and plays next against No. 4 Florida State.
Water Polo is 11-2 and hosts Indiana this Saturday.
Golf is in Palos Verdes early next week for the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
Tennis is 7-7 and hosts Arizona State and Arizona this weekend.
Swim and Dive will so far send one diver and eight swimmers to the upcoming NCAA Championships.
Lacrosse is 3-1 and will host Colorado on Friday and Oregon on Sunday.
Six Women of Troy are headed to the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend.
