Oregon State safety Akili Arnold has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He is a former four-star recruit.

Arnold is coming off the best year of his career at Oregon State, totaling 60 tackles, two tackles for loss and a half sack over 11 games. He also added two interceptions to his resume as he totaled a career-high six passes defended.

All told, during his five years in Corvallis, Arnold totaled 152 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss, along with three interceptions. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Akili Arnold is the latest Oregon State player to enter the portal after the departure of Jonathan Smith, who left his alma mater to become the head coach at Michigan State.

Arnold played high school football at Mission Viejo (CA) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 1,132 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
