Arizona running back Jonah Coleman plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Arizona running back Jonah Coleman plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He spent the past two seasons playing with the Wildcats and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Coleman appeared in 25 games over the past two seasons. He made an immediate impact as a true freshman in 2022 to finish third on the team with 372 yards and four touchdowns.
This past season, Coleman took another leap forward to earn All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. He finished as the team’s leading rusher with 871 yards and five touchdowns and was also heavily involved in the passing game with 25 catches for 283 yards and a touchdown.
As a recruit, Coleman was a three-star prospect out of Lincoln High School in Stockton, California. He ranked as the No. 520 overall player and No. 39 running back in the 2022 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Jonah Coleman’s transfer comes after Wildcats coach Jedd Fisch left to take the job at Washington, so the Huskies could be a potential destination to watch for the running back.
