Georgia emerging as school to watch for Arizona State QB Jaden Rashada

Georgia is emerging as a school to watch for Arizona State quarterback Jaden Rashada, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. Rashada plans to enter the transfer portal after one season with the Sun Devils.

Rashada missed most of this spring with a non-football related injury and underwent surgery on his thumb, and he returned to 11-on-11s this week. He appeared in two games as a freshman in 2023 and threw for 407 yards and three touchdowns while completing 57 percent of his passes during that time.

“To ASU, I want to first start off by thanking my teammates, we shared a bond that I’ll remember forever,” Rashada wrote in an Instagram post. “Love each and everyone of you guys, thankful for the time we spent together and wish you the best of luck. I want to thank everybody in academics and the cafeteria that made my time there easier, want to thank Coach Joe, Coach CC, Alex, and the whole strength staff that has helped me progress in the weight room and on the field.

“Want to also thank all the coaches that have gotten me better and helped me not only as a player but a person as well, a special thank you to Coach Dilly! One of a kid coach who is the same person everyday and cares a lot about the university and his players, thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge of the game with me!”

Jaden Rashada arrived at Arizona State as a four-star recruit and the No. 73 overall player from the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He initially committed to Miami before choosing to sign with Florida as his recruitment took a few turns, On3 reported at the time.
