Arizona State quarterback Jacob Conover has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. Conover will be going through the process for a second time, beginning his college career with the BYU Cougars.

Per On3’s Pete Nakos, Conover is a graduate transfer as he enters his fifth season of college football. He was away from the sport for one season after high school, serving his LDS mission in Paraguay. Conover spent three seasons with BYU and this past one in Tempe with Arizona State.

In three games with the Sun Devils, Conover completed 11 of his 38 pass attempts for 130 yards. He was not able to find the end zone and did throw three interceptions. Not the best season as everyone struggled in Year 1 of Kenny Dillingham.

Conover played high school football at Chandler (AZ) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 361 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
