B.J. Green thought he had found a new home in mid-December when he committed to Washington.

An Arizona State transfer, he watched the Huskies play their way into the national title game, ultimately falling to Michigan. With the unexpected news of Alabama head coach Nick Saban retiring, Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer was tabbed as the successor in Tuscaloosa. Instead of sticking with his plan to enroll in Seattle or follow DeBoer to Alabama, the EDGE has reopened his recruitment.

With one year of eligibility left, he can play immediately wherever he lands. Green is coming off a visit to Ole Miss and is now expected to visit Colorado this week, a source tells On3. The Rebels missed out on the transfer defensive lineman the first time around, opting to take Tennessee transfer EDGE Tyler Baron, who has since flipped to Louisville. With an opening on the defensive line, the Rebels have made a push to get back involved with Green.

Deion Sanders and Colorado will also be able to make their pitch to Green this week. The 6-foot-1, 270-pound prospect from Prince Avenue Christian School (Ga.) just wrapped up his third season in Tempe. He tallied 39 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, six sacks and a forced fumble this past season, picking up All-Pac 12 Second-Team honors. Green has posted 60 career tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks.

The sack leader at Arizona State in 2023 would be a major pickup for the Buffaloes, who ranked in the bottom of the nation allowing 453.3 yards per game. Colorado averaged 2.25 sacks per game, too.

B.J. Green will have to make a decision soon. Washington and Colorado have both started classes, with the Buffaloes add/drop deadline scheduled for Wednesday. He will have some more wiggle room at Ole Miss, which started classes on Monday.
