Arizona to host Missouri EDGE transfer D.J. Wesolak
D.J. Wesolak is heading to the Grand Canyon State this week.
The Missouri redshirt freshman transfer EDGE will be officially visiting Arizona starting on Thursday, On3 has learned. The Wildcats have been in hot pursuit of Wesolak ever since he declared his intent to enter the transfer portal on Nov. 30. UofA offered him a scholarship last week.
“I’m excited to get out there and see what they have to offer me as a young pass rusher, especially with the interest they’ve shown me since entering,” Wesolak, a former four-star recruit, told On3.
Arizona coaches made an in-home visit with him last week and they’ll return for another meeting before he departs for the late-week trip.
D.J. Wesolak told On3 he’s also heard from Purdue, Arizona State, Michigan State and UNLV this week. Boilermaker coaches reached out to him for the first time on Monday. Kansas, Iowa State, Washington, Eastern Michigan and Penn State have also been in recent contact.
D.J. Wesolak saw action in five games as a freshman but did not record any stats during his two seasons in Columbia. As a recruit, Wesolak was the No. 171 overall prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranked as the nation’s No. 19 EDGE and the No. 4 recruit in Missouri.

Track transfer portal activity
As of December 11th, 1,529 FBS players have entered the Transfer Portal.
While the NCAA Transfer Portal database is private, the On3 Network has streamlined the reporting process tracking player movement. If you find yourself asking, ‘How can I track transfer portal activity?’ our well-established network of reporters and contacts across college athletics keeps you up to speed in several ways, from articles written about players as they enter and exit the transfer portal or find their new destination, to our social media channels, to the On3 Transfer Portal.
The transfer portal wire provides a real-time feed of player activity, including basic player profile information, transfer portal ranking and original On3 Industry recruiting ranking, as well as NIL valuation (name, image and likeness).
The On3 Transfer Portal Rankings allow for you to filter the On3 Industry Rankings to find the best of the best in the portal, starting with Overall Top Players.
You can dive deeper into the rankings and filter by position whether it is quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end, offensive tackle, interior offensive line, EDGE, defensive line, linebacker, cornerback, safety, athlete, kicker, punter, or long snapper you’re looking for. The On3 Transfer Portal Instagram account and Twitter account are excellent resources to stay up to date with the latest moves.
