Arkansas guard Keyon Menifield Jr. plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal
Arkansas guard Keyon Menifield Jr. plans to enter the transfer portal, per On3’s Joe Tipton. He played one season at Washington before transferring to Arkansas. Now, Menifield will explore his options again.
Menifield averaged 7.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game this season for the Razorbacks while shooting 37.5% from the field and 31.7% from beyond the arc. In his debut campaign at Washington, Menifield reeled in Pac-12 All-Freshman honors.
Keyon Menifield Jr. played high school basketball at Phoenix Prep (MI), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 229 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Menifield didn’t find overwhelming success in his short time in Arkansas. The Razorbacks went 16-17 this season, posting a 6-12 mark in conference play. Arkansas ended its season on Thursday in an 80-66 loss to South Carolina in the SEC Tournament.
This past season was Arkansas’ worst since head coach Eric Musselman took over the program in the 2019-20 season. In Musselman’s debut campaign with the team, he led the Razorbacks to a 7-11 record against SEC foes. The postseason was canceled that year due to COVID-19.
Arkansas guard Joseph Pinion enters the transfer portal
Menifield isn’t the only Arkansas player looking outside of the program. On Friday, Tobias Bass of The Athletic reported Arkansas guard Joseph Pinion is also planning to enter the transfer portal.

Over the last two seasons, Pinion has averaged 2.4 points during both campaigns, ironically enough. Evidently, he’s looking for a place where he can find more playing time moving forward, as he moves on from Fayetteville as of Friday.
Joseph Pinion played high school football at Morrilton (AR), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 140 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
