Auburn QB Robby Ashford enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Auburn quarterback Robby Ashford has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.
Ashford transferred to Auburn in 2022 after two seasons with Oregon. He rotated at QB for the Tigers in 2022 alongside TJ Finley. In 2023, Ashford primarily served as Auburn’s backup QB to Payton Thorne, though he did occasionally feature in the offense.
Ashford played high school football at Hoover (Ala.) High, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 318 overall recruit and No. 23 quarterback in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
