Bryant guard Earl Timberlake enters NCAA transfer portal
Bryant Bulldogs guard Earl Timberlake has entered the NCAA transfer portal yet again, On3 has learned.
Timberlake will be looking to land at the fourth destination of his college career after also spending time at Miami and Memphis.
He spent his freshman season with the Hurricanes, averaging 9.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.7 steals per game in his seven game appearances (three starts) as he battled through injury. Scoring in double-figures in five of his seven games at Miami before transferring to Memphis ahead of his sophomore season.
With the Tigers, Timberlake appeared in 29 games and made 11 starts, but his production took a drop. Averaging 4.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game before transferring another time to Bryant.
Timberlake emerged as a breakout player for Bryant in his two seasons with the team, averaging 13.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game after starting in all but two of his 28 game appearances for the 2022-2023 season. Earning All-America East Second-Team honors after posting nine double-doubles in his debut season with the Bulldogs.

He’d only add to his production last season in year two with Bryant, this time earning an All-America East First-Team selection after starting in all 30 of his game appearances for the Bulldogs. Scoring 14.6 points per game on 62% shooting along with 9.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game which are all career highs. Leading the team in rebounding for a second consecutive season and scoring 20+ in five straight games during February.
Timberlake played high school basketball at DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville (IN) where he was four-star prospect in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He boasts plenty of experience at a multitude of stops throughout his career, as the college hoops journeyman will enter the transfer portal for a third time and look to call a new program home one last time in his collegiate career. Boasting 94 games played throughout his career as he’ll bring improved scoring, excellent rebounding, and plenty of experience with him to a new school for his final season.
