Top transfer QB Cam Ward to visit Miami on Tuesday, evaluating Florida State
Cam Ward will be making his first transfer portal visit this week.
The Washington State transfer quarterback is expected to visit Miami on Tuesday, a source told On3. Entering the NFL draft continues to remain a viable option. Sources had told On3 last week that a trip to South Beach was in the works over this past weekend, but those never worked out.
Multiple sources tell On3 there have been preliminary conversations about Ward possibly visiting Florida State.
A former no-star recruit, Ward spent two seasons at Washington State after transferring in from Division II Incarnate Word. He started 25 games for the Cougars, throwing for more than 6,400 yards and 43 touchdowns while adding 11 more scores on the ground.
“After a lot of reflection, I will be evaluating the entering the 2024 NFL draft as well as intending to enter my name into the transfer portal,” he wrote when announcing his plans to leave Washington State.
