Louisville to host South Alabama WR Caullin Lacy

Louisville is hosting a string of elite wide receivers on campus these next 24 hours.

Alabama transfer wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks arrives on Thursday for an official visit. And on Friday, the Cardinals will host the No. 3 ranked wideout in the transfer portal, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, Caullin Lacy, a source tells On3.

The South Alabama transfer wide receiver ranked No. 5 in the nation this year in receptions (91) and yards (1,316). The 5-foot-10, 190-pound receiver had seven touchdown catches, too. Lacy visited Texas A&M last weekend.

Oregon was pushing to get the grad transfer on campus this weekend. Instead he will be at Louisville. Auburn and Mississippi State have also offered the wide receiver.

The Cardinals recently picked up Texas Tech transfer quarterback Tyler Shough. Adding Lacy would give the quarterback a dynamic target in the Louisville offense.
