Charlotte QB Micah Bowens enters the transfer portal
Charlotte QB Micah Bowens has entered the transfer portal.
This will be the third time that Bowens has transferred in his collegiate career. He went to Penn State and redshirted with the Nittany Lions back in 2020. Then, after that, he spent two seasons at Oklahoma where he, again, didn’t see any snaps. That led to his transfer to join the 49ers this season.
At Charlotte, he saw little action this season. He didn’t record any statistics as a redshirt sophomore besides taking one sack in an appearance in a 22-point loss to FAU.
Bowens played high school football at Bishop Gorman where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 427 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as the No. 30 QB in the class as well as the No. 3 player out of the state of Nevada.
