Cincinnati defensive back Bryon Threats commits to UCF
Cincinnati Bearcats defensive back Bryon Threats has committed to transfer to the UCF Knights. He announced the decision on social media.
Threats spent the last three seasons with the Bearcats. There, he played a key role in the team’s secondary as it went from making a run at the College Football Playoff to transitioning from the AAC to the Big 12. Now, he will bring one season of eligibility to Big 12 rival UCF.
In 12 games during the 2023 season, Threats made 57 total tackles. He also had three tackles for loss and a sack. On top of all that, Threats also had two interceptions on the season.
Bryon Threats played high school football at Dublin Coffman (OH), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 529 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
UCF and Cincinnati are set to play next season at FBC Mortgage Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
