Colorado lands transfer commitment from Indiana OL Kahlil Benson

Indiana transfer offensive lineman Kahlil Benson visited Colorado and before he could leave, he decided to commit. Benson announced the decision via X on Saturday night, being another huge win for Deion Sanders out of the NCAA transfer portal.

As Sanders continues to add offensive linemen, they are not just filler players. Benson played in all 12 Indiana games this season, getting work at right tackle. This is the fourth OL commitment Colorado has snagged out of the portal, with all of them having experience.

Before the 2023 season even ended, Sanders admitted Colorado would have to hit the portal for new guys. Sheduer Sanders was getting killed out there and killing any kind of chance they had on offense. Landing somebody like Benson will help the cause while transitioning into the Big 12.

Benson played high school football at Southaven (MS) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 563 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
