Colorado Buffaloes EDGE Deeve Harris plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
The Colorado Buffaloes spring practice for the 2024 season has wrapped up, and now a handful of players are headed to the NCAA Transfer Portal. According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, EDGE Deeve Harris will be on that list. Harris revealed on Monday that he plans to enter his name into the transfer portal just ahead of the summer window opening.
Harris, who is officially a graduate student, came to Colorado last offseason after spending two years at Old Dominion. With the Monarchs, you will play in a total of 23 games over two seasons, recording 57 total tackles, 23 solo, and 9 tackles for loss with five sacks, two interceptions, and one fumble recovered. All three of his turnovers were returned for defensive touchdowns.
With Colorado, Harris played in 12 games but was limited in action. His time as a Buffalo concludes with him recording 14 total tackles, five solo, and one tackle for loss.
Colorado and the Transfer Portal
Since Deion Sanders has taken over as the head coach at Colorado, the Buffaloes have been one of the most active teams in the portal including both players leaving the program and players coming into the program. Among the big names to transfer to Colorado are quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way player Travis Hunter.

To this point in the 2024 cycle, Colorado has the second-ranked transfer class, according to the On3 College Football Team Transfer Portal Rankings. Within that, there are 19 players who have transferred out and 25 who have transferred into the Colorado program since the end of last season. However, for now, Chazz Wallace doesn’t count against that number.
One thing that head coach Deion Sanders will need to navigate is getting the Colorado roster to 85 scholarship players. Between incoming transfers and freshmen, teams often need to see players transfer to not end up above that number.
The Spring Transfer Portal Window will be open for a total of 15 days.
