Florida transfer DL Chris McClellan commits to Missouri
Former Florida defensive lineman Chris McClellan has committed to play for Missouri, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz has gone big-game hunting in the NCAA transfer portal and landed another critical player for the 2024 season.
“I feel as if they are gonna put me in the best position to be successful & develop me over the next 2 years,” McClellan said.
In two seasons with the Gators, McClellan recorded 46 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, and two sacks. He was even able to recover a fumble as a true freshman.
Now, Missouri will be hoping to see McClellan improve over the next few months and become a big part of their defensive line. As he told Hayes Fawcett, development was a big part of his decision and the Tigers have been great at seeing big-time players fulfill their potential in recent years.
McClellan played high school football at Owasso (OK) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 123 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
